Gerard Nicholls - Piano & Composition
Gerard is a Central Coast based pianist who has been learning piano for 16 years with experience teaching private and group piano lessons. Encouraging others to develop their interest in the piano by passing on his knowledge and love for music is something he is very passionate about. Gerard has just completed his 3rd year of a Bachelor of Music, double majoring in Piano Performance and Composition at Newcastle Conservatorium, and has attained his A.Mus.A with AMEB in 2014. He is currently completing an Honours degree following the completion of his B.Mus.

Qualifications: 2014: Diploma of Music, Associate Diploma of Music. 2015 - present: Bachelor of Music.
Experience: Many solo and ensemble performances, including with New Empire Ballroom Ragtime Dance Orchestra, Symphony Central Coast, Central Coast Youth Orchestra, University of Newcastle Orchestra, Central Coast Philharmonia, Gosford Musical Society. 4 years experience with acoustic duo/trio 'Loves me Knot' on Central Coast, Australia.
Awards: 2016 and 2017 Senior Piano Championship at Taree Eisteddfod. Recipient of Tertiary Music Scholarship and Frank Duncan Memorial Prize at Newcastle Conservatorium.
