Karsten Little - Piano & Vocal Teacher
Karsten is originally from Hong Kong in where she attained her Bachelor Degree of Music (Honors) in 2012. After graduated, Karsten decided to pursue a master degree of Early Childhood Education in Western Sydney University in 2013.
Growing up from a musician family, Karsten has developed a great passion towards music in her early age. She started singing and playing piano when she was four. Having nineteen years of choral, ensemble and acappella experience, Karsten participated in different international choral festivals such as The World Choir Games, International Youth Singing Festival, International Czech Singing competition and Opera Hong Kong Chorus where she was renowned as the youngest opera singer by the time. Karsten was also invited to represent University’s Choir as a soloist and performed in different countries such as Beijing, Czech and Vienna.
Besides singing, Karsten is also a professional pianist and she attained a piano diploma LTCL from The Trinity College of London with distinction. She was often invited to perform in different malls, wedding banquet, commercial’s annual performance and broadcast station such as TVB J2 and Creation TV.
Since 2010, Karsten has decided to pursue music education as her music concentration in her Bachelor studies. She has started working in different music schools such as Hong Kong Academy and Performing Arts, Hong Kong Children’s Choir, Education First by holding different music program for young children. In 2011, she was invited to join a varies of masterclass held by The Dalcroze and Orff Schulwerk Association in Hong Kong. In the following year, Karsten was chosen to represent Hong Kong Orff Association to Salzburg for an Orff International Symposium, where she decided early childhood education is what she will be striving for in her future.
Karsten aims to become a Kindermusik licensed educator in January 2016 on the beautiful Central Coast, Australia.
