Dai Pritchard - Guitar Teacher
My association with the guitar goes back to 1975. Since then I have risen steadily through the music industry from my beginnings as a garage-band hopeful to the position of a published and recorded professional that has played with some of the household names of the industry. I have toured nationally and internationally as a group performer and have a well-rounded appreciation of how the music business works.
I am skilled across a number of styles both electric and acoustic and currently teach a number of students on the Central Coast on both types. In addition to my private students, I also conduct clinics for guitar manufacturers as part of my sponsorship arrangements and am the Sydney coach for the Australian Music Association Weekend Warriors program. My appreciation spans all aspects of guitar and my passion is more for the instrument rather than for any particular style of music. It is this broad appreciation for the range of expression possible with the guitar that I try to impart to my students and trust their own passion to direct their style choice.
2004 - Current
Guitarist with iconic Australian rock band, Rose Tattoo. My involvement with the band takes in multiple overseas tours as the bands lead/slide guitarist and collaboration on their most recent album Blood Brothers. During off-periods, I perform both electric and acoustic in solo/group at various local and interstate venues. I have also co-written and perform extensively on the recent Lianna Rose debut album Soak Up The World.
